Johnny Bedford, Douglas Frey and Chas Skelly win at Bellator Fighting Championships.

Posted by Rafael in Latest Updates on May 24th, 2010 |  No Comments »

On May 20th, F3 fighters Johnny Bedford, Douglas Frey and Chas Skelly fought and won at the Bellator Fighting Championships show in Grand Prarie.

Frey started the show off taking on a game Aaron wise from Arkansas.  Douglas quickly established pace by coming forward.  After connecting with two knees to Wise’s head, Wise tried to take Frey down and Frey submit him in a guillotine.

Bedford fought second of the three, taking on Jared Lopez from Amarillo, Texas on the nationally televised portion of the show.  Bedford easily won both the first and second rounds by out striking his opponent and taking him down at will .  In the third round Bedford caught Lopez with two knees to the head that put him on the ground.  Bedford jumped on his opponent to get in a couple of strikes before the referee stepped in to stop the fight.

Skelly closed the show taking on Daniel Pineda in a rematch of a fight that Skelly won last year.  While the whole fight was a back and forth battle, Skelly appeared to have one the first round.  In the second round it was Pineda who came out the aggressor and caught Skelly in a heel hook the nine of ten people would have tapped out to.  Skelly though withstood the pain and Pineda got tired and let go.  After a it of scrambling for position Skelly ended the fight by submitting Pineda with a knee-bar.

Congrats to all the guys for working hard and pulling out the wins.  Fitness Fight Factory is proud of you guys.
